Freelance Site Manager – Housing (Leyburn, North Yorkshire)

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a residential housing development in Leyburn, North Yorkshire. This is a freelance opportunity for approximately 12 months, offering the chance to lead a well-structured housing site from early stages through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day site management of a new-build residential development

• Managing site teams, subcontractors, and materials deliveries

• Ensuring health & safety compliance at all times

• Coordinating with project stakeholders including clients, QS, and design teams

• Maintaining project timelines and ensuring quality standards are met

• Regular reporting and site documentation

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing new-build housing sites (volume or bespoke)

• SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certifications (essential)

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage subcontractors effectively

• Own transport and full UK driving licence
