The Role:

We are recruiting on behalf of an excellent main contractor for a Senior Engineer to join a £100m+ major highways project. As a Senior Engineer, you will oversee setting out, engineering control, quality management, and coordinate the site engineering team to ensure the successful delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the site engineering team, delegate tasks, and mentor junior engineers.

• Take full responsibility for setting out, engineering control, and quality assurance.

• Ensure project compliance with Risk Assessments (RAMS), Method Statements, and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).

• Attend coordination meetings, control project schedules, and update progress reports.

• Maintain accurate documentation, raise design-related RFIs and TQs.

• Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure accurate financial reporting and manage the snagging system.

• Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure work aligns with project timelines and quality standards.

About You:

• Strong setting out skills (Level, EDM, GPS).

• Relevant civil engineering experience (Highways, Rail, Water, Aviation).

• Strong leadership, delegation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in Office 365, CAD, and engineering tools.

• NVQ Level 3 or higher, SMSTS, and CSCS card.
