Description

Are you a skilled tradesperson with a proven track record of managing a team and delivering high-quality joinery projects? Do you have what it takes to lead a team of skilled joiners and ensure successful project completion?

We are working with a well-established and reputable joinery contractor based in the Northwest, who are seeking an experienced and dedicated Non Working Joinery Foreman to join their team. As Foreman, you will be responsible for around 10-15 joiners and for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of the sites, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards and within the given timeframes.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and supervise teams of skilled joiners to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Conduct site meetings and briefings to discuss project timelines, objectives, and any issues or concerns.
- Plan and coordinate workload and resources to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed and that the site is maintained in a safe and tidy condition.
- Monitor and control materials, equipment, and tools to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets the required standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify any areas for improvement.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure that materials are delivered on time and to the required quality.

Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years' experience as a joinery foreman, with a proven track record of managing teams and delivering projects.
- NVQ Level 3 or similar qualifications in Joinery or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
