Assistant Site Manager – New Build Housing
Location: Newcastle, UK
Salary: £25-£26 per hour
Contract Type: Ongoing
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager in overseeing daily site operations and ensuring the project stays on schedule.
- Supervise subcontractors and site staff, ensuring work is completed to the required standards and specifications.
- Conduct site inductions and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Monitor material deliveries and maintain accurate site records.
- Assist in resolving any on-site issues or delays, ensuring smooth project progression.
- Carry out regular quality control inspections and report any defects or issues.
- Communicate effectively with the project team, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or in a similar role within residential construction.
- Understanding of new-build housing processes and NHBC standards.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS card, and First Aid at Work certifications (essential).
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements and site compliance.
