Position: Planning Director
Salary: £70,000 – £80,000
Type: Permanent
Location: London
We are in search of a Planning Director to join our client's team based in London. You will become part of a well-established, leading independent planning consultancy, with the objective of strengthening and expanding existing client relationships.
The Planning Director will ideally have the following attributes:
- A proven track record of successfully delivering major, complex development projects.
- Have experience developing existing client relationships and generating new business opportunities.
- Extensive experience in both development management and policy practice.
- A chartered membership with the RTPI (Royal Town Planning Institute).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in managing and guiding a team comprising architects, designers, planners, and support staff.
- Comprehensive knowledge of architectural design principles, urban planning, zoning regulations, and building codes to lead the design and planning phases of projects.
- A background in managing project budgets and resources to ensure the firm's profitability.
The Planning Director role will involve:
- Collaborating with the current leadership team to facilitate business growth, while motivating and overseeing team performance.
- Taking the lead in supervising planning and strategic initiatives
- Developing and implementing strategic plans, identifying growth prospects.
- Managing and providing leadership for a team of planners, strategists, and analysts
- Creating and managing budgets and financial plans
- Overseeing the planning and execution of specific projects or initiatives to ensure they are completed within the designated timeframe and budget.
