Due to ongoing growth, our client is looking for a Site Manager to join their business. Based in Durham they specialise in undertaking all forms of construction and maintenance work for clients in the public and private sectors including newbuild, extensions, and refurbishment work.
In this role, you will be expected to run projects for clients on various Frameworks while planning the scope of work with your team to deliver projects on time. Based in their offices and on site you will work closely with the wider commercial and Site teams in a friendly collegiate atmosphere. Our client is looking for someone who can grow with the role, is tech savvy, and has the skills and knowledge that come with experience in the commercial construction sector.
Specialising in high-end High-value housing refits and extensions as well as commercial refit fit and extensions there is a keen focus on detail and delivering the jobs to very high specifications. The company employs a lot of direct labour so it is essential you are a team player with great man management skills and good experience of dealing directly with clients
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring the project runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage and motivate on-site teams, including subcontractors and tradespeople, to deliver high-quality work within strict timeframes.
- Implement and enforce health and safety practices, adhering to SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) guidelines.
- Regularly liaise with clients, Project Manager, and suppliers to maintain clear communication throughout the entire project.
- Monitor construction progress, identify and resolve any potential issues, and ensure adherence to project specifications and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records, including site diaries and health and safety logs.
Requirements:
- Possession of SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS card qualifications.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational capabilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality projects within deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driving license.
