Engineer

Due to ongoing growth, our client is looking for an Engineer join their business. Based in Gateshead they specialise in undertaking all forms of construction and maintenance work for clients in the public and private sectors including newbuild, extensions, a refurbishment work.

Based in their offices and on Site you will work closely with the wider commercial and Site teams in a friendly collegiate atmosphere. Our client is looking for someone who can grow with the role and has the skills and knowledge that come with experience in the commercial construction sector.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Setting out and monitoring of works on site.
• Experience using total stations and GPS.
• Ability to interpret design drawings and specifications.
• Produce As-Builts Manage technical queries.
• Providing guidance and assistance to other members of the construction team.
• Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with specifications.
• Following safety procedures and regulations.
• Operate and promote a high standard of health and safety and environmental compliance.
• Participating in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
   

Candidate Requirements:

• Engineering HNC/Degree or equivalent.
• Experience working with main contractor.
• CSCS Card.
