Job Summary
We are working with a client who are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager/Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Project Manager/Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating electrical projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to achieve project objectives
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, producing site safety documentation such as method statements, risk assessments, COSHH, HAVS, and other relevant documents
* Manage all aspects of health and safety to provide a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors, and third parties
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, quantity surveyors, clients, suppliers, and contractors
* Identify customer requirements and design specifications, and work closely with designers to ensure effective solutions
* Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and resolve problems
* Manage procurement of subcontract trades, suppliers, and in-house labor contracts
* Oversee the completion of monthly project profit and loss documentation and manage client variations
* Approve and issue subcontract applications for payment and manage final accounts
* Ensure compliance with main contract terms and conditions
* Create and update project programs of works on a weekly basis to monitor progress accuratelyRequirements
* Technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
* Experience working on office fit out projects
* Relevant qualification in electrical engineering (e.g., HNC/HND or similar field of study)
* Estimating and design experience
* Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to prioritise tasks
* Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
* Commercial awareness and ability to analyse financial data
