Estimator

Job Summary:

We are working with a well-established roofing company in Manchester, seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in either cladding or pitched roofing, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate quotes and estimates for various roofing projects, working closely with the sales team and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for roofing projects, including cladding and pitched roofs
* Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and take measurements
* Collaborate with sales team to understand customer requirements and provide detailed quotes
* Manage and maintain accurate records of estimates, quotes, and customer communications
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments, products, and materials to ensure knowledge is current and relevant

Requirements:

* 5+ years of experience in the roofing industry, with a focus on either cladding or pitched roofing
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and best practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Valid driving license and willingness to travel to site visits (where necessary)
