Description

We are working with a main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the North West. They are seeking an experienced and ambitious SHEQ Coordinator to join their team on a part-time contract for approximately 8 months, with the potential to convert to a full-time and permanent position.

As the new SHEQ Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company is compliant with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as implementing and maintaining their H&S systems and accreditations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the construction industry, work on a variety of projects, and develop your skills in SHEQ.

**Key responsibilities:**

* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Develop and implement H&S systems and accreditations
* Conduct site visits to monitor and audit compliance with SHEQ policies
* Provide training and guidance to site teams on SHEQ procedures
* Maintain accurate records and reports on SHEQ performance
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and implementation of SHEQ initiatives

**Requirements:**

* Previous experience in a similar SHEQ role or related field (construction industry preferred)
* Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to travel to sites in the North West region
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
