Description

We are working with a top tier main contractor who are seeking a Sub Agent to work in the Rail sector on projects around the Oxfordshire region on a full time basis. As the Sub Agent you will be responsible for the management of small-value civil engineering and construction sites and you will assist the wider team on larger value schemes.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce and manage the project programme and supervise the delivery of it
  • Ensure all staff, subcontractors and visitors are properly inducted, meet the competencies required of them and hold relevant qualifications and tickets
  • Maintain and manage construction sites and subcontractors, developing positive working relationships
  • Maximise project value and maintain commercial tension to drive out cost and challenge the status quo
  • Support the Site Agent with cost management, ensuring robust control of Target Cost, actual costs and forecasts through commercial awareness

What do we need from you?

  • Experience in Civil Engineering ideally the Rail sector
  • CSCS 
  • SMSTS
  • Full driving license 
  • Working towards becoming a Chartered Member of the ICE and hold relevant qualifications - degree level or equivalent experience

The salary is indicative and based on experience.
