Linear Recruitment are interested in a Principal Engineer to join a leading blue chip infrastructure company based in Salford. They business is made up of six different business units which include, construction, group functions, highways, infrastructure, utilities, and properties which deliver sustainable construction and infrastructure to vital parts of the UK.

Responsibilities
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you'll be working within the team, supporting them in with the delivery of a broad range of Civil & Structural / MEICA related services in both Temporary and Permanent Works throughout the business. You will also contribute to the delivery of more complex services by providing solutions which are safe and buildable (in both their temporary and permanent states), above all other consideration
Your day to day will include:
- Manage the development of fee proposals, agreeing the technical requirements of the client remit, ensuring it is fully understood, questioning, and advising where necessary
- Organise and Manage the day-to-day workload of engineers and technical staff within the design team, ensuring technical compliance of the design to the remit
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements and Company policies/procedures, including CDM Regulations, the SHE Management System (SHEMS) and design Quality Management System (QMS)
What are we looking for?
This role of Principal Mechanical Engineer is great for you if:
- Chartered member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., CEng MICE)
- Several years of postgraduate experience
- Valid CSCS card and full driving licence
