Our client, a long-established civil engineering & infrastructure contractor, are recruiting for a Project Manager with strong experience in heavy civils contracts. The schemes will run from London to Oxfordshire, Whether your background is in water, highways or rail, we want to hear from you.
A key requirement is that you are a confident user of P6 and office suite. You will be there to ensure the delivery of multiple ongoing projects to programme and budget, therefore working closely with the Commercial and Engineering departments.
To be considered, you must have in-date SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator and Confined Space certification. Appointed Person/Lift Supervisor training would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of managing civil engineer projects and meet the following criteria:
• Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting.
• Ability to use Primavera P6 software or equivalent
• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
• CSCS Manager (Black) card
• SMSTS
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• Knowledge of the NEC contract including the Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms
• Excellent communication, people, and team management skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and mentor
• Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to a conclusion
• Ability to manage and deliver a successful project with minimal guidancePlease note that this role is Inside IR35 and the only permitted payment options by our client are PAYE or Umbrella. As such. the rate is indicative and dependent upon pay type.
