We are working with an exciting client who are seeking to add a Buyer to their team in the West Midlands area in the Civil Engineering/Rail sector. As the Buyer you will be responsible for providing nationwide delivery teams with a professional material supply service, ensuring clear communication both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:
- Carrying out supplier selection, evaluating quotations and negotiating prices and logistics.
- Identifying market trends, product and industry developments.
- Providing commercial assistance when required.
- Liasing with sites and supply chair partners, developing strong long lasting relationships.
- Ensure a key relationship with the Senior Buyer and all internal departments.
What do we need from you?
- Relevant experience in a similar role, ideally in the Rail or Construction/Civil Engineering sector.
- CIPS qualifcation or working towards CIPS
- Experienced negotiator, with the ability to establish long-term relationships.
- Demonstrable commercial awareness, with the ability to control and monitor budgets.
- Excellent computer literacy with experience using Microsoft office packages and in-house purchasing systems.
- Full UK driving license
The salary is indicative and based on experience.
