We are currently seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join a well-established housebuilder with a site in Macclesfield.
As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Site Manager in overseeing the construction and completion of new build housing projects.
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in coordinating site activities, ensuring they are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the project plan.
- Managing and supervising site operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is completed to the highest standards and within set deadlines.
- Conducting regular site inspections, identifying and rectifying any quality or health and safety issues.
- Assisting with the management of resources, materials, and equipment to maintain productivity and meet project requirements.
- Liaising and coordinating with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, clients, and local authorities.
- Working closely with the Site Manager to ensure compliance with building regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the new build housing industry is essential.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, health and safety practices, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proactive nature, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances on-site.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
