Mechanical Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team, working across a range of projects in the water / sewage treatment sector. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising mechanical installation and construction activities on water and wastewater projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality and programme standards.

This is a site-based role with travel required across Birmingham & West Midlands. 

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical installation activities across water and wastewater treatment projects.

• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, trades, and site resources.

• Ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, RAMS, and project requirements.

• Manage day-to-day mechanical activities and coordinate with site management and other disciplines.

• Monitor progress against programme and report any issues or delays.

• Carry out inspections and ensure installations meet required quality standards.

• Promote and maintain a strong health, safety, and environmental culture.

• Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.

• Assist with commissioning, testing, snagging, and handover activities.

• Ensure all site documentation and records are completed accurately.

• Support the Project Manager and Site Manager with planning and delivery of works.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience supervising mechanical works within the water, wastewater, utilities, or process engineering sectors.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical installation and construction practices.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Experience managing subcontractors and site-based teams.

• Good understanding of RAMS, permits, inspections, and site safety requirements.

• CSCS / SSSTS / SMSTS or equivalent site qualifications are advantageous.
