Freelance Site Manager – Civils

Location: Morpeth, Northumberland
Duration: Long-term
Contract: Freelance

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a long-term civils scheme in Morpeth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of works on site, coordinating subcontractors and trades, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the site
• Supervising subcontractors and site teams
• Ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with RAMS
• Coordinating site activities and maintaining programme
• Liaising with the Project Manager and wider site team
• Monitoring quality and ensuring works meet project specifications
• Maintaining site records and completing relevant documentation
• Ensuring health & safety standards are consistently maintained

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering
• Strong understanding of civils construction processes
• SMSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively
