Our Client is a growing multi-sector organisation who are looking to add an Engineer to their North East based team. Projects revolve around Low Rise Housing developments and so a background with in Speculative New Build Housing or New Build Social Housing would be preferable.
Main functions of the role include:
- Involved with pre-application consultation with the Local Authority, Water Authority and Environment Agency.
- Co-ordinating budget costs associated with both existing and new utility infrastructure supplies.
- Commission and manage Consultant appointments in respect of Site Investigations, Engineering Layout/Designs, site-specific foundation proposals and retaining walls as/where required.
- Overview Engineering Technical approval submissions to Local Authority, Water Authority, Environment Agency, NHBC etc.
- Arrange relevant testing requirements including soil validation testing etc.
- Co-ordinate and provide conveyance plans to solicitors.
- Co-ordinate the adoption agreement process with solicitor, Local Authority, Water Authority, NHBC and Directors.
- Attend internal costing meetings.
- Ensure all relevant notices and agreements are in place with the relevant authorities to allow construction to continue without delay.
- Ensure all relevant schedules are updated such as development costs, external consultant fee schedules, adoption bond schedules etc.
- Co-ordinating adoption requirements for sewers, roads, landscape areas, public open space etc. including liaising with Construction and Commercial Departments.
- Submit and manage Warranty Applications, including liaison in build and discharge of conditions.
- Co-ordinate all utility infrastructure requirements including diversions, disconnections, quotations for new supplies, designs, appointment, and liaising with providers for programming works ensuring all relevant information is submitted to sites.
- Co-ordinate all temporary utility infrastructure requirements for on-site construction teams.
- Attend meeting with utility infrastructure providers.
