Freelance Setting Out Engineer – Net Zero Infrastructure Project – Teesside
Location: Teesside, North East England
Contract Type: Freelance / CIS
Start Date: ImmediateWe are seeking an experienced Freelance Setting Out Engineer to join a major Net Zero infrastructure scheme in Teesside. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a landmark project that will play a key role in the UK's transition to a low-carbon economy.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out setting out and surveying duties across the project site.
- Ensure works are delivered accurately and in accordance with design drawings and specifications.
- Produce and maintain accurate site records, as-built surveys, and quality documentation.
- Liaise closely with Site Managers, Subcontractors, and the Project Team.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and tolerances.
- Assist with quality assurance processes and technical problem-solving on site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on major civil engineering, infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects.
- Competent in the use of Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and construction specifications.
- Experience producing as-built records and quality documentation.
- CSCS Card essential.
- SMSTS or SSSTS desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
