Linear are working alongside a growing regional builder who is looking for an experienced Pre Development Engineer
Duties will include:
• Producing site constraints plans to inform the proposed development layout.
• Obtaining and collating utility plans, applying for diversion quotes and POCs.
• Undertake engineering feasibility designs using industry standard software including site 3D, PDS and Civils 3D.
• Appoint and manage external consultants to complete feasibility, detailed road and sewer and foundation designs and secure relevant technical approvals, working with the Project Team to ensure works are on programme and in accordance with designs.
• Commissioning of pre-design surveys such as topographical surveys, utility traces and site investigation works with guidance from our in-house Senior Geo Technical Engineer.
• Checking designs to ensure they are feasible to construct, cost effective, meet regulatory approvals and where relevant, satisfy aesthetic requirements
Skills and Experience
Essential
• Industry experience of working on residential housing developments.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage own projects and multitask.
• Ability to undertake feasibility designs and technical studies.
• Flexible and willing to spend time in other offices and sites.
• Ability and experience using AutoCAD.
• Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable
• Previous experience of designing road and drainage schemes in accordance with S38, S278 and S104 agreements
