Our client are a well-established national construction contractor delivering high-quality commercial and industrial buildings across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their delivery team in the North East.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale, technically challenging projects for blue-chip clients, within a professional and supportive business.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing site activities from start to completion
• Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour
• Maintaining programme targets and reporting progress to the Project Manager
• Ensuring quality control and adherence to specifications and drawings
• Managing site logistics, materials, and plant
• Conducting site meetings and maintaining accurate site records
• Promoting a positive site culture and maintaining strong client relationships

About You

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial and/or industrial construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and health & safety legislation
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple trades and priorities effectively
• IT literate with experience using construction management systems
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certifications (essential)
• Willingness to work on projects nationwide as required
