Salary: £55k - £60k base + car allowanceOur client are a well-established national construction contractor delivering high-quality commercial and industrial buildings across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their delivery team in the North East.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale, technically challenging projects for blue-chip clients, within a professional and supportive business.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing site activities from start to completion
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour
- Maintaining programme targets and reporting progress to the Project Manager
- Ensuring quality control and adherence to specifications and drawings
- Managing site logistics, materials, and plant
- Conducting site meetings and maintaining accurate site records
- Promoting a positive site culture and maintaining strong client relationships
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial and/or industrial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and health & safety legislation
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple trades and priorities effectively
- IT literate with experience using construction management systems
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certifications (essential)
- Willingness to work on projects nationwide as required
