Freelance Site Manager – Social Housing
Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire
Duration: Circa 3 monthsWe are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a new build social housing project in Northallerton. The scheme is timber frame, therefore proven timber frame experience is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day management of site operations from timber frame erection through to completion stages

Managing subcontractors and trades to programme and quality standards

Ensuring health & safety compliance at all times

Coordinating deliveries, materials, and site logistics

Liaising with the client, timber frame manufacturer, and project team

Maintaining site records, RAMS, progress reports, and snagging
Requirements:
-
Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager on timber frame new build projects

Previous experience delivering social housing or residential developments
-
Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid

Strong organisational and communication skills

Ability to work independently and drive the project forward
