Site Manager

Freelance Site Manager – Social Housing
Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire
Duration: Circa 3 months

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a new build social housing project in Northallerton. The scheme is timber frame, therefore proven timber frame experience is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of site operations from timber frame erection through to completion stages

• Managing subcontractors and trades to programme and quality standards

• Ensuring health & safety compliance at all times

• Coordinating deliveries, materials, and site logistics

• Liaising with the client, timber frame manufacturer, and project team

• Maintaining site records, RAMS, progress reports, and snagging

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager on timber frame new build projects

• Previous experience delivering social housing or residential developments

• Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and drive the project forward

Contract Details:

• Freelance / self-employed basis

• Approximately 3 months duration

• Competitive day rate dependent on experience
