Freelance Site Manager – Housing Development

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee day-to-day operations on a residential housing development in the Teesside area. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, organised professional who can maintain high standards, keep the project running smoothly, and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily site operations and coordinate all trades and subcontractors

• Ensure work is carried out safely, on schedule, and to specification

• Monitor quality control and carry out inspections

• Maintain site records, paperwork, and progress reports

• Liaise with project managers, clients, local authorities, and suppliers

• Identify and resolve issues promptly to keep the build on track

• Uphold site safety protocols and enforce H&S regulations

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the residential / housing sector

• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and regulations

• SMSTS Required

• CSCS card

• First Aid certification

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple trades at once

• Own transport and full UK right to work
