- Description
Our client is looking for an Estimator to become a valuable member of their team. The position involves analysing architectural drawings, preparing precise take-offs with Excel, and developing detailed schedules and pricing proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Create comprehensive schedules and pricing documents for tender submissions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (design, production, and project management) to ensure feasibility and accuracy.
- Acquire pricing for outsourced items, either directly from suppliers or via our procurement team.
- Participate in meetings with main contractors to discuss project scope, pricing, and requirements.
- Keep pricing databases and estimation templates current and accurate.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in estimating, ideally within manufacturing or construction.
- Furniture / laboratory experience desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding architectural and technical drawings.
- Experience in coordinating with suppliers to obtain pricing and lead time information.
- Confident in participating in meetings with clients and contractors.
