Are you a recent graduate with a passion for construction and a keen eye for detail? We are working with a Tier 1 Main Contractor seeking a motivated Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Stockton. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within one of the UK’s leading contractors, gaining hands-on project experience and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
Based on site and reporting to the Project Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Assist with accurately valuing, certifying, and issuing subcontract payment notices in line with subcontract conditions.
- Support the submission of external valuations in accordance with the main contract and ensure timely payments.
- Prepare CVC reports, reflecting current site status and final profit projections.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the supply chain, consultants, and clients, helping to identify and resolve potential disputes.
- Work closely with project teams and senior commercial staff to achieve or exceed budgeted project targets.
About You:
- A construction-related degree (or working towards one).
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Basic understanding of contract law.
- Experience of re-measurement, procurement, and cost control.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Appropriate CSCS card.
