Linear are working alongside a construction company who is looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performing and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the commercial delivery of prestigious construction projects while shaping the future of our surveying team.

Your Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll lead commercial activities across major contracts, ensuring profitable outcomes and safeguarding the company from financial risk. You will also provide valuable mentorship to junior team members, promoting excellence in service delivery and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all commercial aspects of contracts, developing robust systems and procedures to ensure consistent financial success.

• Monitor and analyse individual project performance through timely and accurate reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.

• Collaborate closely with contract managers to drive financial success and mitigate risk.

• Prepare and review accurate sub-contract documentation, ensuring commercial compliance and clarity.

• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Manage the preparation and submission of accurate and timely payment applications and subcontractor payments.

• Take ownership of contractual disputes, promoting dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying (preferred but not essential).

• Certifications: Valid CSCS Card and a Full UK Driving Licence.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and contract administration.

• Experience: Strong background in the construction industry with hands-on knowledge of live projects, final accounts, and sub-contract management.

• Attention to Detail: Organised and meticulous in financial and contractual matters.

• Industry Awareness: Deep understanding of construction methodologies and commercial best practices.
