Our client, a Tier 1 main contractor, is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Durham. Covering a wide range od sectors, this role would suit an ambitious, driven Quantity Surveyor looking to progress their career and run their own projects. With a strong pipeline of work and live projects, this is a great time to join the team.
Experience Required
The successful applicant will have previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally working for a Tier 1 or 2 main contractor. Or experience of running their own projects and delivering on time and to budget.

- Strong communication and listening skills, with good negotiation skills.
- Highly motivated to deliver quality developments.
- Ability to work on own as well as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines.
- IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems.

The Role and Working Conditions
- Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked.
- Office based role, with travel within the Divisional area.
- Ability to travel to development sites as and when required.
Qualifications
- HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience on projects based in the UK.
- Knowledge of construction regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
