Project Manager

The Role:

We are working with an exciting main contractor who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a major highways and infrastructure scheme. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading key sections of work, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a section of works, supervising site teams and supply chain.

• Plan, monitor, and drive project progress, leading daily LEAN meetings.

• Take full ownership of project costs, working with the commercial team.

• Identify and manage any changes in scope across operations, design, and commercial aspects.

• Implement and oversee temporary works and value engineering solutions.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

• Attend external meetings with clients and stakeholders, building strong relationships.

• Ensure site teams and subcontractors work to the latest design specifications.

• Monitor material orders, take-offs, and reconciliations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in highways, infrastructure, or civil engineering.

• Ability to manage multiple work packages simultaneously.

• Strong knowledge of CDM 2015, NEC contracts, and highway regulations.

• SMSTS & CSCS certification.

• HNC or higher in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
