Description
Due to heavy workload, I am now recruiting for a successful regional construction firm in who are looking expand their Quantity Surveyor team. With a range of sites across North East including; retail new builds and refurbishments, Construction of a new Leisure center along with a range of other construction projects.
Experience Required
The successful applicant will have previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor working for a regional or national construction firm.Skills and Aptitude
- Strong communication and listening skills, with good negotiation skills
- Highly motivated to deliver quality developments
- Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines
- IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems
- Good administration skills
- Committed to diversity and inclusion
The Role and Working Conditions
- Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked.
- Office based role, with travel within the Divisional area.
- Ability to travel to development sites as and when required.
Qualifications
- HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within the construction or housebuilding industry.
- Knowledge of construction regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
