Description

Job Title: Production Fitter
Location: Doncaster
Pay: £12.75/hour

The Job

As a Production Fitter you will build vehicle conversions to the highest standards to the customer's specification. You will be responsible for the end-to-end build of each vehicle and accountable for own quality of work. This may include the testing, repairing and commissioning of all aspects of build. You will complete conversions in line with established fitting times. You will be encouraged to provide feedback to designers/supervisors in order to ensure continuous improvement and the evolution of design and fitting instructions.

Duties

•             Check base vehicle is correct specification

•             Conduct pre-build checks and report any damage to base vehicle

•             Produce vehicle conversions to the correct specification in line with the build plan

•             Complete vehicle conversion to required standards in line with QC

•             Work in an efficient manner in line with tested build times

•             Obtain and follow BOM’s and any relevant SOP’s, photos and drawings

•             Advise of any amends to drawings/panels

•             Suggest potential improvements to build methods as appropriate

•             Complete re-work if required

•             Work as part of a team

•             Be flexible and work overtime as and when required

•             Assist in training and upskilling of other team members

•             Carry out instructions from Supervisors and team leaders

•             Responsible for the completion of all relevant paperwork

•             Maintain a safe and clean working environment

•             Carry out duties in line with Health and Safety requirements and make supervisor aware of potential Health & Safety issues

  • Ability to use hand tools and equipment
  • Have a good understanding of the conversion process
  • Good attention to detail and high personal standards
  • Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all relevant specs
  • Able to work to targets / deadlines
