Our client is a well-established regional construction firm seeking a motivated and detail-oriented admin assistant to join their team. If you are eager to learn and develop in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you!
The Role:
- Process weekly and Fortnightly payroll for all employees, ensuring all hours worked, deductions, and adjustments are accurately calculated.
- Use Excel to generate reports, track hours, and ensure payroll data is reconciled with timesheets and attendance records.
- Liaise with HR to update employee records and ensure payroll data is current (e.g., promotions, benefits, leave).
- Communicate with employees regarding payroll inquiries, including wage discrepancies and deductions.
- Tasks may also include supporting the preparation of year-end payroll reports and assisting with audits.
- Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation and processing of invoices and payments.
- Handle queries from clients and suppliers regarding financial transactions.
- Support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records.
- Reconcile accounts and track project expenses.
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting.
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of payroll software systems (e.g., Sage Payroll, QuickBooks, or similar) is advantageous but not essential.
- Understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and National Insurance contributions. Desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with employees, HR, and finance teams.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing payroll data and calculations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suits.
