Description

Due to heavy workload, I am now recruiting for a successful Civil Engineering company who are looking expand their Quantity Surveyor team.  With a range of sites across North East including; new build housing sites and civils roads projects.

 

Experience Required
The successful applicant will have previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor working for a regional or national House Builder. Roads, sewers, plot works experience with a Civil Engineering company is also advantageous.

  • Strong communication and listening skills, with good negotiation skills
  • Highly motivated to deliver quality developments
  • Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines
  • IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems
  • Good administration skills
  • Committed to diversity and inclusion

The Role and Working Conditions

  • Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked.
  • Office based role, with travel within the Divisional area.
  • Ability to travel to development sites as and when required.

Qualifications

  • HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within the construction or housebuilding industry.
  • Knowledge of construction regulations and standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
