Description

Are you an experienced Estimator looking to take the next step in your career? Do you have a passion for social housing refurbishment projects and a desire to work with a leading main contractor? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you with our client, who are expanding their team!

About the Role:
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in producing competitive tender pricing for refurbishment projects across various market sectors. You’ll support the delivery of the business strategy by managing tenders valued up to £10m and ensuring that the highest standards are maintained throughout the tendering process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to the client's Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSE&Q) standards and company policies.
- Manage the coordination and preparation of tender documentation, delivering the best bid solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial and Business Development teams to align with company strategies and objectives.
- Assess contract conditions, quantify associated risks, and provide viable solutions to mitigate those risks.
- Effectively execute tender plans to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Compile and present statistical data for pricing and bid analysis.
- Attend meetings to prepare contract mobilisation plans and provide insights into the tender details.
- Manage the tender process, including engaging with subcontractors for pricing and terms.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years' experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor.
- Has a successful track record of winning profitable work in the construction sector, particularly within social housing refurbishment.
- Maintains advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and possesses excellent data interrogation and project management skills.
- Has good legal and contractual knowledge, with strong communication, influencing, and negotiation abilities.
- Is flexible, logical, and methodical in approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
