Job: Architectural Technologist
Location: Hertfordshire
Term: Permanent
Salary: £32,000-42,000 per annum dependent on experience
We are currently seeking a mid-level Architectural Technologist to join our client's team on a permanent basis in Hertfordshire. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, educational, and mixed-use developments across the UK.
You will ideally have experience in national housebuilding, housing associations, or development firms. Experience in the education sector would also be advantageous, as our client has earned numerous awards for their extensive education-focused portfolio, including new builds and refurbishments for primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities, and specialist training facilities.
As part of an award-winning architecture and urban design studio, you will collaborate closely with a talented team of architects, technologists, and urban designers, providing full design services from concept through to project delivery. You will be involved in both the planning and delivery phases, gaining valuable experience from inception to completion.
Your responsibilities will include producing building designs and preparing documentation to support planning applications and other approvals. You will also have the opportunity to visit sites to monitor progress and conduct inspections as needed.
The Architectural Technologist will ideally have the following attributes:
- A degree or background in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience working on projects through RIBA Workstages 4-6.
- Proficiency in Revit or other CAD software.
- Strong detailing knowledge to support the delivery team.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Highly motivated, well-organised, and diligent.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent understanding of building regulations and RIBA stages.
