Description

Are you a detail-oriented and motivated Quantity Surveyor/Estimator looking for your next challenge in the roofing and cladding sector? We are working with a renowned Manchester-based roofing and cladding contractor, who are seeking a skilled professional to join their dynamic team. 

The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing tender and contract documents, including comprehensive bills of quantities to support the bidding process.
- Undertaking in-depth cost analysis for repair and maintenance roofing work, providing essential insights to optimise project outcomes.
- Preparing and analysing costings for tenders, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness to win new contracts.
- Allocating work efficiently to employees and subcontractors, overseeing the workflow to promote productivity.
- Providing expert advice on contractual claims, navigating any disputes or negotiations with finesse.
- Monitoring the progress of projects, offering solutions and adjustments to meet timelines and budgets.
- Valuing completed work and arranging timely payments, maintaining strong relationships with our subcontractors and suppliers.
- Keeping up-to-date with different building contracts currently in use, ensuring compliance and understanding of legal frameworks.
- Understanding and implementing health and safety regulations, prioritizing the wellbeing of our team and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, preferably within the roofing and cladding sector or construction industry.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
- A solid understanding of building contracts and health and safety regulations.
