Job Advertisement: Quantity Surveyor – New Build Housing Scheme, Hebburn
Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Hebburn, Tyne and Wear
Day Rate: Negotiable
Contract: OngoingKey Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work schedules.
- Manage the procurement process, including tendering and contract negotiations.
- Conduct cost analysis and reporting to ensure financial control.
- Monitor project progress and manage variations.
- Value completed work and oversee payments to subcontractors.
- Liaise with project managers, architects, and site teams to ensure cost-efficient project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience in residential construction projects, ideally in new build housing schemes.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, cost management tools).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Membership with RICS or a similar professional body (desirable).
