Job Title: Senior Construction Manager – High-Rise Student Accommodation
Location: Stratford, London
Salary: Negotiable DOE
Employment Type: Full-time- Leadership & Coordination: Direct and manage on-site construction activities, leading a team of site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Programme Management: Oversee the construction programme to ensure milestones are met, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with project stakeholders, including the project manager, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Champion a culture of safety on-site, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Quality Control: Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve challenges to minimize delays and maintain progress.
- Reporting: Provide detailed updates on progress, risks, and resource allocation to senior management.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Senior Construction Manager or similar leadership role on high-rise or large-scale projects.
- Proven track record in managing the construction of residential or student accommodation developments.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage complex project logistics and resolve challenges in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. SMSTS certification is required.
