We are working with a tier 1 main contractor who are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a full time basis working on Highways and Rivers projects. As the Site Engineer you will be an integral member of the site management team - alongside setting out, you're involved in weekly progress reports, monthly planning, site logistics and client liaison.

Key Responsibilities
- Setting out using total stations, GPS equipment, and to be able to undertake traditional setting out using profiles, batter rail and pegs
- Read and review construction drawings
- Undertake basic take-off’s
- Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team
- Have a good commercial understanding and know the difference between cost and value
- Carry out relevant inspections and testing to ensure conformance of the works with the design and specification
- Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures
What do we need from you?
- Previous experience in civil engineering, which should include highways, infrastructure, and reinforced concrete works
- Degree/HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering
- SSSTS
- ICE Membership
- CSCS
- Full UK Driving License
- First Aid (desirable)
- Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
Salary for this role will be dependent upon experience and discussed upon shortlisting.
