Role: Senior Urban Designer
Salary: £35,000 - 50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Type: Permanent
Location: South-East London
We are currently in search of an Senior Urban Designer to join an internationally acclaimed architectural and urban design studio located in London. Our client is an AJ100 award-winning firm, renowned for its exceptional work in the field. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to some of the world's most prominent infrastructure and master planning projects.
The Senior Urban Designer will ideally have the following attributes:
- A relevant degree in urban design, landscape architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- A diverse portfolio encompassing various sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, and urban regeneration.
- Proficiency in working across a broad spectrum of project scales, ranging from large-scale strategic studies to intricate masterplans.
- Demonstrated experience in project leadership, collaborating and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
- A proven track record in client-facing roles.
- Proficiency in using Revit and GIS.
The Senior Urban Designer role will involve:
- Lead and mentor junior designers and other team members
- Serving as the lead on selected master planning projects.
- Effectively managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Generating high-quality design sketches, diagrams, plans, models for reports and presentations
- Responsible for guiding the design process and setting project objectives
- Developing and overseeing master plans for urban areas and neighbourhoods.
- Engaging with various stakeholders, including clients, local authorities, community groups, and other interested parties
- Responsible for developing design concepts and translating them into detailed plans, drawings, and visual representations.
- Ensuring that the design complies with local zoning regulations, building codes, and other legal requirements.
